Emergencies

If you have a life threatening emergency, please dial 999 and call an ambulance.
If you have an urgent medical problem please ring us in the usual way on 01225 613100 and press option 1 to speak to a  receptionist.  The receptionist  will take your name, best telephone number to contact you, and ask you in confidence a brief description of your symptoms.
The Doctor will then call you. This will be before 1.00pm for morning calls and before 6.00pm for afternoon calls.
The doctor will telephone you to discuss your medical issue. If it is felt that you need to be seen for a face to face appointment the Doctor will arrange this for you.
The Doctor will attempt to call you 3 times. If you are unable to answer your phone on 3 occasions, your telephone appointment will be marked as DNA (Did not attend) and you will need to call again and make another appointment. Please remember if you have given a mobile number for the Doctor to call you please keep your phone charged and in range.
This new service offers patients more flexibility so you do not need to ring as soon as the surgery opens.
Missed face to face appointments that are booked by the GP waste valuable clinical time. If you are not able to make your appointment, please do call us to let us know, as we may be able to offer your appointment to another patient, even up to the last minute, though we would prefer as much notice as possible.
